Tuesday, December 09, 2003 Fight against Corruption. "The cold-blooded murder of Satyendra Dubey, an engineer with the National Highways Authority of India, has enraged the entire country. Dubey was part of the prime minister's pet project, the Golden Quadrilateral. An alumnus of IIT, Kanpur, Dubey wrote to the Prime Minister's Office exposing irregularities in the project. But despite his request, his identity was not kept confidential. Dubey even complained about it but to no effect. It is believed the letter eventually led to his murder." India has seen many a disgusting incident like this, before. And each of those took us to greater depths. Now, the country is moving ahead. Let it not face hurdles in such gory forms. May this sacrifice be the last. Please sign the petition here. Latest Update (December 09, 2003 21:56 IST): >> Dubey's Murder Shocking: PM Follow-through: >> Whistleblower said don’t name me.
