Wednesday, August 04, 2004 On the Go! Apple has tied up with Motorola to integrate iTunes into future cellphones from the maker. And with Toshiba targeting cellphones with its 0.85 inch hard-disk, wouldn't such a product (store 1000 songs/numerous high-quality pics) eat into iPod's share? Or is Apple thinking beyond iPod? UPDATE Aug10: Nokia partners LoudEye to bring music download to cellphones. Also interesting is the fact that Motorola was one of the earliest to adopt Windows Mobile (Motorola MPx200), "a stripped-down version of the software found on Pocket PCs". Having already experienced the Windows platform for iTunes' Desktop version, this shouldnt be much of a challenge (if the two happen to meet...it is likely they will). Windows Automotive sounded exciting but haven't been hearing much about it. Elsewhere: Let's see how Google tackles this new issue.
