Tuesday, October 26, 2004 iPodPhoto Apparently, it's not about music alone. iPodPhoto, the latest in the iPod stable comes with a color display that offers 220x176 pixel resolution apart from provision to view stored pictures on a larger display (AV). A logical extension of the device, although Samsung's Yepp YH-926 hit it off with a 20GB version (and arriving earlier). Elsewhere: Former Apple employees have helped bring out OQO (model 01), an ultra Personal Computer, thus throttling ahead in an all-new segment. Newton is history. Could it repeat itself, especially for the price that OQO sells for ($2000)? posted by pradeep | Permalink | (2) 2 Comments:The iPodPhoto was definitely expected. I was disappointed though that its just a color iPOd with photo viewing ability. Similar devices from Archos, Samsung and Creative allow videos to be seen on crisp 2-3 inch LCDs along with other controls to manage all media. Apple for once is a laggard and I wouldnt see why people would spend so much for so little. By The Last Blogger, at 9:35 PM
If a wire-free G5 iMac (bluetooth) is so certain, then iPod couldnt be far behind. It's just so much pain to carry wires around. More than multiple-media support, I am looking forward to this addition in the rumoured 2005-release. |
