Bits and Pieces

Tags are to take us closer to that massive engineering project called The Semantic Web. Flickr glorified them. Now Technorati is determined to spread the message further. They have set up a system that indexes and displays tag-based search results [with links from and photos from Flickr]. The same methodology that allowed tags for photos on Flickr could now be extended to blog posts. As this post has. A tag's code ("mac", for example) looks like this:
< a href="" rel="tag" > mac < /a >,
for Technorati to index.

And if you are looking to save some time a bookmarklet found on this page could get you the piece. [type in tags, seperated by spaces] Remove "span" codetag that comes with the generated lines, if you are not using style sheets in your template.

Taggle - the vision.
For now, Taggregate.

I couldnt find a way to automatically ping Technorati from Blogger. Pls pass info if you know. [Automatic pinging for the rest]

If a pixel were to see and interpret things as I do, and should it express, with a dose of my thoughts and afterthoughts; the flavor of such a talk should be close to one that you find on this page. And yes, cricket being my favorite sport, dont be surprised to find one too many related terms. Pad up is one such!
