"There must be a rhythmic alternation between attacking the causes and healing the effects." ~ MLK
Suits well for the developmental efforts back home.

Plight of Chennai Veerans (PHL): "The players and their support staff, numbering 20, are put up in a residental complex in Madhapur on the outskirts of the city which the organisers call Hotel Supreme Delux Annexe. While the three foreign players of the team — Juan Escarre of Spain and Pakistan’s Dilawar Hussain and Zeeshan Ashraf — are in a star hotel in the heart of the city."

If you had missed Tamil nadu Govt's 4-page advert in Wall Street Journal last October, here are the links (pdf):

I gotta say the WSJ ad was a gutsy move and pretty good one too. While it might not make all the monetary short term impact one might hope for, it definitely gets people looking at you and also talking about you.

Way to go.

poor chennai veerans.
you met some hockey players, didn't you?

Sadly Chennai Veerans don't seem to have much of a chance. The jinx continues for the teams I follow - India now Chennai. I think Hyderabad should win once Sohail joins them. They look solid in defence with Tirkey and Wasim in the midfield.

Yes Ranga, that was a smart move.
Guess, a one-off marketing blitz wouldnt help either. Need constant reminders! :)

Paran,
Met Sandeep Michael (playing for Hi-fliers) and Adam Sinclair (Veerans) here in Phx. Adam is still in contact with a friend here. And we get his mails forwarded to us. Excellent guys. Sandeep is India's future. No doubt.

Jagan,
Pop-ups? I have never seen any from my page.
Anyone else facing the same problem? I have a link that maps IP address to geo-position. Locking scroll wheel, occasionally, opens that page (isnt a pop-up though).

Anand,
Tirkey & Abbas in one team seems a dream combo. But what of offense?
[Never seen Wasim in play]

Waseem if I am right plays at left half. I remember watching a few matches on fieldhockey.tv and he has good trapping and distribution skills. It would have nice if Rehan Butt was in one of the teams. Great winger to have.
