Narain Karthikeyen is on the verge of an F1 start. JordanF1's new owners (Canada's Midland group) have confirmed that Narain would be their #1 driver, if he brings in sufficient funds (note: narain missed minardi for lack of funds). Chances, they say, are 90% [Rediff, however, has already declared the result]. With the kind of television viewership and F1 following in India, who wouldnt want to be a sponsor!

Indian fans Down Under cannot ask for more. Sania thirlled them first, and when F1 Calendar begins in Melbourne, time for national colors again. If all goes well. [Friends on track? BAR's Jenson Button, was Narain's rival in F3]

"He's pretty quick - but a bit wild as well. He'll be quite exciting." ~ Trevor Carlin, Jordan sporting director (with whom Narain had worked during his Formula 3 years).

I know or atleast knew Narain personally and pretty well since he used to be a part of the same Rotaract Club I was a member of. I dunno if he remembers me anymore :( but I can always say I used to know him. Attaboy Narain !

Great to see another guy from Coimbatore making news in the world of sports. Hopefully Adam Siclair will make his mark in a few years.
