looks like blogger messed up my comments. i hit preview the second time and it displayed correctly, but publishing the comment seems to make blogger very unhappy.

but this revealed a bug(or inconsistency) in safari. it doesn't handle empty <a /> tags very gracefully.

IE suffered largely because of some callous browsing practices. Had users adopted stricter habits as they do now, IE would've benefitted a lot. Ffox allowed us to start fresh. So now, the little that we could do (apart from understanding s/w's inherent imperfection, as u mentioned, Manoj) will be to forewarn users of negative impact (such as the "critical flaw" that this post mentioned) and avert large scale misdeeds. In effect promote peaceful browsing experience. Wishing to keep the Movement healthy.

Thanks for the reminders Manoj. Have not followed IE7's progress in a while. Blogger's been weighed down of late ('specially the comments section), so it has become normal to experience troubles such as yours. I had never tried 'empty tag' structure for anchor tags. How do u do that?

I have updated the 5 odd machines that I control at home and work with the new release. The Firefox blog was a good link. Similar to the google blog, it offers fascinating insight into a unique development process.

If a pixel were to see and interpret things as I do, and should it express, with a dose of my thoughts and afterthoughts; the flavor of such a talk should be close to one that you find on this page. And yes, cricket being my favorite sport, dont be surprised to find one too many related terms. Pad up is one such!
