Another Apple announcement in the offing and the internet is abuzz with speculations. Yeah Video iPod again. While that's enough to chew on for a while, BBC carries an even more exciting story on iPod mini's stunning resemblance with a 1954-released pocket radio ("Regency TR-1"). [via]

The comparison with the TR-1 in pics is really cool.

I am not sure what to expect anymore. A Video iPod without a reasonable and affordable means to get video (like the iTns for songs)would not make sense. I am not sure how that can be achieved.

I dont want another PSPlike device that can play bootleg movies and illegal downloads.

iTMS has been stocking up videos like anything. That is one of the reasons for the speculation.

Or it may not be video-pod at all, as this thinksecret update suggests.

Did you guys read about Google-Sun camaraderie and the G's OpenOffice support?

I read about the google-sun alliance. Remains to be seen how much of an impact it creates. Itll mean one thing for sure- OpenOffice will get much more exposure than what it gets now...and thats a good thing.
